Overview

The Chase consists of three apartment buildings, comprising of 256 luxury apartments featuring open-plan, free flowing rooms filled with natural light, the finest fixtures and fittings and uncompromising quality throughout.

Conveniently located close to commuter links with breathtaking views of the Berkshire countryside and Newbury Racecourse, the luxury development offers the best of town and country.

Each building comprises a 6-storey reinforced concrete structural frame on piled foundations. Externally the façades are a blend of high-quality curtain walling and brick and ceramic rainscreen cladding. Frameless glass balustrades to the balconies complete the high-quality architecture of this superb development.

The apartment buildings have been sensitively designed to maximise integration with the unique setting with green sedum roofs to all three apartment buildings as well as high quality hard and soft landscaping complimenting the mature trees that surround the unique development.

Tolent was able to utilise a number of innovative construction methods that successfully reduced the contract programme by c.18 weeks including the off-site manufacturer of structural columns and the use of sacrificial formwork to form the sides of the pile caps and ground beams.The latter reduced the amount of excavation required and eliminated the need to strike the formwork after the foundations were cast, saving both time and money.
