Overview

The project comprised the design and construction of Phase 2 of Onward Park offering 66,812 sq ft high-bay warehouse with office and staff accommodation, with an eaves height of 12m, which adjoins the fully let Phase 1.

Onward Park is a modern warehouse development situated just 2.5 miles south of Junction 31 of the M62 at Normanton in Green Lane Industrial Park.

The unit comprises 4nr dock and 2nr surface loading doors, roof lights and low energy lighting. The development was secured by fencing, gates and flood lighting with remote monitored security cameras and interlinked security and alarm systems. The facility also had car parking, lorry parking and yard areas.


The building substructures comprised strip footings and pad foundations which were installed following the ground being lime stabalised to strengthen and improve the soil conditions. The superstructure of the unit was constructed with structural steelwork complete with roof and wall cladding and masonry and floor slabs. Tolent also installed all drainage and service tie-ins, fire protection mechanical and electrical and external yard slab, parking and soft landscaping.
