The High Glebe Farm project in East Rainton, Durham, comprised of six detached executive homes. Despite the limited scope, this was a demanding project which also included the construction of a private road, drives and landscaping, on a restricted site in a small village.
This was a private contract with an individual developer, whose relatives occupied the old farmhouse abutting the work area.
We had to overcome the logistical challenges associated with accessing the site via narrow village roads. This was achieved through the early establishment of good relationships with local residents and taking into account their individual needs throughout the process.
In addition, the leasing of a farmer’s field to store off-site materials was a major success, as it negated the need for continuous trips to deliver materials to the site.
