Overview

Bollingbroke Registry Office comprises a single storey registrar’s office, reception areas, wedding areas, changing facilities, toilets and kitchens.

It is now a regarded a landmark building, with exemplary finishes and contemporary design.

The local authority required an aesthetically pleasing, landmark building able to meet the operational needs of a modern, registry office. We were able to provide this, while also delivering a building which was functional and built to a high standard to minimise whole life cycle costs.

The project was built to a high standard, within the project timescales and to budget, leading to excellent feedback from the client.

Located in a busy residential area of South Shields and within close proximity to the shops and town centre, as well as the Town Hall and Civic Offices, the project required a robust traffic management and site delivery plan to ensure the successful delivery of the programme with minimal disruption to the wider community.

The building was given the royal seal of approval when it was officially opened by HRH Princess Anne in August 2008.

Thanks to its exemplary finishes and contemporary design, Bollingbroke Registry Office is now a regarded a landmark building,
