Gary Dobbing has been with the North East contractor for more than six years and was nominated for the award for his recent performance on the £9.4m Oakfield Gardens housing development in County Durham.
Gary, along with site manager Scott Wilkinson and the wider team, delivered 67 high quality family homes in Peterlee to the delight of client, Chapter Homes. The exclusive development offers a mix of two, three and four-bed homes and was handed over to the client earlier this year.
LABC Warranty recognises the dedication and commitment it takes to deliver quality sites and every year site managers across the country are rewarded for their exceptional contribution to construction with its regional and national Site Manager Awards.
Chris Price, regional director for Tolent, said: “Gary is more than deserving of this award which recognises his hard work, professionalism and expertise. He’s led a great team and delivered another high quality project for a long-term client.
“LABC Warranty works with over 3,000 sites nationally and are only able to recognise a small number of site managers at these awards, so receiving a high commendation is a great achievement - well done Gary.”
Sarah Sheppard, LABC Warranty technical director and head judge, commented: “Even with the additional challenges posed by Covid-19, the standard of qualifiers across the board once again has been exceptional, raising the bar for construction standards”.
LABC Warranty works in partnership with Local Authority Building Control (LABC) to provide structural warranties. The partnership with LABC means it can provide building control and warranty for developers throughout England and Wales using the combined technical expertise of over 3,500 surveyors.
