Boult Terrace is a development of five bungalows in Shiney Row, built on behalf of Sunderland City Council.

How to report a defect

Your home has a Tolent warranty which lasts for 12 months from the day we hand over your home to Sunderland City Council. Any defects within in the first 12 months can be reported by:

  • Contacting Sunderland City Council
  • Calling 0191 561 2715

When reporting your repair please make sure that you have the following information:

  • As much detail about the problem as possible.
  • Times when there will be someone at home (am or pm)
  • If we need to work inside your home you will need to ensure that a responsible adult is there to let us in and to stay while the work is completed.

Emergency repairs

An emergency would be something that prevents you from occupying your house in a safe and reasonable way. This would include:

  • Complete failure of the heating systems and/or hot water system. If your heating fails in summer, it is unlikely to be an emergency. However if it fails in colder weather, then this will be classed as an emergency
  • A water leak that cannot be contained
  • Complete failure of the electrics
  • Flooding caused by blocked drains that threatens to enter the home
  • A fault to a window or external door causing a loss of security.
