Travelodge and Costa Coffee, York
Project Details:
Tolent have completed multiple projects for Travelodge, from a £3m mixed-used development in Middlesbrough, to a £25m Travelodge
PLUS flagship hotel in London.
Situated in close proximity to York Minster, the project in Layerthorpe is a large multistory building, housing both a Travelodge and a Costa Drive Thru. The building is ideally located on the outskirts of York city centre, overlooking the River Foss.
The project comprised the design and construction of the 128nr bedroom Travelodge and Costa Drive Thru, on the site of a former gas works facility. The hotel was styled in Travelodge’s new, contemporary brand design, with all en suite rooms featuring luxurious king size Travelodge Dreamer Beds.
State-of-the-art bathroom pods were utilised for the en suites, which provided a high-quality, factory controlled modular construction solution for the project.
Tolent were selected from the client’s list of approved contractors for the development of the new hotels and met the project’s criteria of cost, quality and time. Tolent achieved this through our experience of constructing new build Travelodge hotels, coupled with our familiarity with all aspects of the construction and interior fit-out required for a successful hotel opening. Tolent have a thorough understanding of the client’s operational requirements and how this translates to the design of their hotels.
Additionally, through our experience working with the client, we have developed good working relationships with their direct suppliers for the coordination of deliveries and the installation of all FF&E elements.
More information on the hotel can be found on Travelodge's own website:
