The redevelopment of The Racecourse Newbury delivered around 1500 homes, in 3 apartment blocks located at the Western Area of Newbury Racecourse, in the picturesque setting of one of the UK’s leading horseracing venues.
With far reaching views across the entire racecourse, this first phase consisted of three apartment blocks, comprising of 256 apartments in total on a greenfield site on the Western Area of the racecourse.
Two of these blocks were for private sale and the third block is a mix of affordable and rented accommodation.
Each block comprised of a 6 storey RC structural frame on piled foundations. Externally the facades are a blend of high quality curtain walling, brick and ceramic rainscreen cladding. Frameless glass balustrading to the balconies completes the high quality architecture of this superb development. All of the blocks have a green sedum roof.
