Marshall's Yard, Gainsborough
Project Details
Design and build project in the town centre of Gainsborough. The project involved the full refurbishment of several 19th Century Grade II listed buildings which were converted into retail units and office accommodation.
The refurbishment included full cleaning and restoration of the brickwork and where possible refurbishment of the roofs and existing windows.
Three new buildings were also constructed which “infilled” the spaces between the existing buildings. These new buildings housed a state of the art gym with pool and further retail units.
Tolent also undertook the basic fit out works for Halfords, and for the first floor offices within Blocks 7 and 8.
The external works required the removal of existing concrete slabs and partly contaminated sub base. After which a large car park area, service yard were constructed and works carried out to the adjoining public highway and footpaths. A four and a half meter high ornate boundary wall was also constructed along with a peace gardens which included a large water fountain
