Project Details
This turn key project which included the full refurbishment and fit out of existing consulting rooms into an 18 bedroom and 2 bedroom ward within a live environment. Works included demolition, new toilets and bathrooms, new carpets, new decorations and procurement and installation of fixed and none fixed furniture.
Pre-arranged weekly meetings were held with the hospital manager and daily communications with adjoining wards and facility management team.
As the building we were working in was a mental health wing we based the site set up on the ward we were working on so that we were able to keep a low profile and be as self contained as possible. We kept signage to a minimum whilst still maintaining the requirements for health and safety. As there were service users (patients) both above and below the ward we also kept working hours between 8am and 6pm with very noisy activities not starting until 9am.
Working in a mental health wing we only allowed operatives on site that were CRB checked. No tools were left unattended which if found by a service user could pose a risk to them selves and others.
Tolent followed stringent quality control procedures to ensure that the quality of workmanship on the project was to the highest standards
