Project Details
Southwick is an area within Sunderland which has historically suffered from a poor reputation with higher-than-average levels of deprivation.
The development involved the demolition of c.345 dwellings over the 8.6 hectare site; creating c.384 new 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes across 3 phases.
All houses have been designed to be eco-friendly and include a number of environmentally aware design features, including Photovoltaic panels, energy efficient boilers and high levels of insulation helping them to achieve a CfSH Level 3 rating.
The regeneration includes the construction of a purpose-built care facility providing respite care to children and their families with complex physical disabilities and health needs.
