Eston Eco Village
Project Details
Eston Eco Village is an ambitious mixed tenure housing renewal site and one of the most sustainable housing developments in the North East.
The development delivered 26 two and three bedroom homes comprising of 15 new build homes built to levels 4 and 6 of the Code for Sustainable Homes and a major refurbishment of 11 existing terraced homes.
The project has set the tone for sustainable housing redevelopment in the area while also acting as a catalyst for transformational change. In 2013 the development was named in the Top 50 Affordable Housing Developments by Inside Housing Magazine.
Local schools were engaged throughout the project through a range of activities. We delivered environmental and health & safety workshops to pupils at Southbank Community Primary School, as well as organising site visits for pupils.
