Project Details
The project comprised construction of a single storey Registrar’s Office with a total floor area of 475m2 and is now a landmark building with exemplary finishes and contemporary design.
The building included the Registrar’s Office, Birth Waiting Reception, Death Waiting Reception, Wedding Areas, Garden Room, strong room, staff and circulation areas with changing facilities, toilets and kitchens.
The Local Authority wanted a landmark building able to meet the operational needs of a modern, Registrar’s office. The building had to be ascetically pleasing, yet functional and built to a high standard to minimise whole life cycle costs. The building was given the royal seal of approval when it was officially opened by HRH Princess Anne in August 2008.
