Safety Policies
The development of the Safety Management System ensures that Tolent Construction Ltd adopt a planned and systematic approach to Health and Safety.

Project specific safety plans are developed using the Tolent Procedures Manual, client information, designers assessments, project nature and specific site location.

The use of inductions, method statements, risk assessments, prompt cards, excavation check lists, scaffold check lists etc., clear communication and well trained competent employees ensures that all residual risks are well managed.

Formal training is a key factor in achieving the current Tolent Health and Safety culture. A training programme has been developed to cover specific areas od work associated with our building and civil engineering business. Training is given by external training specialists and includes the following topics:

The programme is reviewed anually and revised as necessary.

Tolent Construction Ltd are fully aware of the Industry skills shortage and recruit at least six school leavers each year to work as apprentices. This is undertaken alongside the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board).
