The Tolent Group is principally engaged in the construction industry within the United Kingdom, with the main country of operation being England. It is registered in England and Wales. Tolent operates across the construction sector providing services in building, civil engineering and property development.

DIRECTORS

Peter Kenneth Hems was appointed to the Board on 6th June 2007 and took over as Chairman on 1st January 2008. A chartered accountant by profession he retired from his position as a partner with Grant Thornton on 31st March 2007 to pursue other business interests.

Chief Executive - John Gibbon Wood. John, an engineer, established Tolent Construction in 1983 after working for Wimpey and Balfour Beatty and expanded the Tolent Group to include additional companies associated with the building and civil engineering industry.

Financial Director - Andrew David Clark was appointed as Financial Director and Company Secretary of Tolent plc on 16th January 2007. Andrew, a chartered accountant, has been finance director of Tolent Construction Limited, the group's principal construction and civil engineering subsidiary, since March 1999. In addition to Tolent Group companies, Andrew is a director of the Sheffield Regional Rugby League Development Partnership Trust, a charitable trust to promote the grass roots development of the sport.

Operations Director - Trevor Phillipson. Trevor, an engineer, spent 13 years at Balfour Beatty, including eight at Sellafield before joining Tolent as a contracts manager in February 1988. In 1991 he received an MBA from the University of Warwick. He has been a director of Tolent Construction Limited, the group's principal construction and civil engineering subsidiary, since 27 July 1998.

Non-Executive Director - Michael Richford Speakman, a chartered civil engineer, has spent his career in the building and civil engineering industry. A former director of Henry Boot, Bison International and Stepney Contractors. He was appointed as a non-executive director on 30th July 1999.

Non-Executive Director - Dr. Alexander Ospelt has been in independent practice as a lawyer since 1997. In 1993 he worked as a staff member of Liechtenstein's Permanent Representation at the United Nations (UN) in New York. From 1994 until establishing his chambers in 1997 he practised at the Princely Court of Justice and in a reputated law firm in Liechtenstein. From 1987 to 1993 he studied at the Faculty of Law at St. Gallen University, Switzerland and went on to take a degree in European Law at ULB in Brussels, Belgium, Dr. Alexander Ospelt passed the Liechtenstein Bar Examination in 1997 and gained a Doctorate in Law from St. Gallen University, Switzerland in 1999. He was appointed as a non-executive director on 18 March 2010.
