The Tolent Group is principally engaged in the construction industry within the United Kingdom, with the main country of operation being England. It is registered in England and Wales. Tolent operates across the construction sector providing services in building, civil engineering and property development.

Chairman - Peter Kenneth Hems, a chartered accountant, was made a partner of Grant Thornton UK LLP in 1979. He ceased to be a partner on 31^st March 2007 but continues in a consultancy role for the firm and as Chairman of Trustees for the Grant Thornton Defined Benefit Pension Scheme. In addition Peter is a director of Amco Corporation PLC and Amco Estates Limited. He was appointed to the board of Tolent PLC on 6^th June 2007.

Chief Executive - John Gibbon Wood. John, an engineer, established Tolent Construction in 1983 after working for Wimpey and Balfour Beatty and expanded the Tolent Group to include additional companies associated with the building and civil engineering industry.

Financial Director - Andrew David Clark was appointed as Financial Director and Company Secretary of Tolent plc on 16^th January 2007. Andrew, a chartered accountant, has been finance director of Tolent Construction Limited, the group�s principal construction and civil engineering subsidiary, since March 1999. In addition to Tolent Group companies, Andrew is a director of the Sheffield Regional Rugby League Development Partnership Trust, a charitable trust to promote the grass roots development of the sport.

Operations Director - Trevor Phillipson. Trevor, an engineer, spent 13 years at Balfour Beatty, including eight at Sellafield before joining Tolent as a contracts manager in February 1988. In 1991 he received an MBA from the University of Warwick. He has been a director of Tolent Construction Limited, the group�s principal construction and civil engineering subsidiary, since 27 July 2025 and is also a director of Echo Buildings Limited, a joint venture with Tolent Construction Limited.

Non-Executive Director - Michael Richford Speakman, a chartered civil engineer, has spent his career in the building and civil engineering industry. A former director of Henry Boot, Bison International and Stepney Contractors. He was appointed as a non-executive director on 30^th July 1999.

Due to the small size of the Tolent Board all members with the exception of Peter Hems are on the audit committee. The Audit Committee is responsible for reviewing the interim and final accounts of the Group, accounting policies, the scope and effectiveness of the external audit, the financial management and control systems, and compliance by the Group with statutory and other regulatory requirements. It also approves the external auditor�s terms of engagement, their remuneration and approves any non-audit work.

The remuneration committee of Mike Speakman and Peter Hems is responsible for deciding on all elements of Executive Directors remuneration.
